Known
The right people can understand context quickly.
Education and learning intelligence
Mattering Works builds software for schools and workplaces that helps people be known, supported and able to contribute.
We help teachers, leaders and managers understand what people need, what support works, and what action to take next.
Our belief
Every learner and employee brings context, strengths, needs and potential. But too often, the information that helps people support them is scattered, static or hard to use.
We believe better insight should lead to better action. At Mattering Works, mattering means being known, valued, supported and able to contribute.
The right people can understand context quickly.
Strengths, needs and contributions are visible.
Useful strategies are shared and acted on.
People are helped to participate, grow and add value.
What we build
Our tools help organisations answer practical human questions: who needs support, what has worked before, who needs to know, what action should happen next, and how do we know it made a difference?
Product areas
A complete teaching platform for Computer Science departments, bringing together course structure, coding tools, worksheets, classroom resources and assessment support.
A better way to understand and support every pupil. Starting from the limitations of static pupil passports, this platform helps schools capture what works and make that insight useful.
Helping managers support employee growth by understanding how employees learn, what support helps them develop, and how insight can become better conversations and actions.
Why it matters
Schools and organisations already hold huge amounts of information about people. But information alone does not create belonging, support or progress.
Teachers do not need longer documents. Managers do not need another dashboard. Leaders do not need more disconnected reports.
Insight only matters when it changes what happens next.
Built differently
Mattering Works combines classroom experience, software engineering, learning science and organisational thinking. We are building tools that are practical enough for real classrooms, robust enough for schools and organisations, and thoughtful enough to protect the human purpose behind the data.
We design around people, not labels. The aim is to help learners and employees be better understood and better supported.
Our approach is grounded in research on learning, belonging, contribution, mattering and organisational development.
We build scalable tools and workflows, not one-off consultancy. Insight should be easy to access, act on and evidence.
Founded by a teacher and software engineer with experience building reliable systems at scale.
Early access
We are currently developing our first tools for schools, beginning with a Computer Science teaching platform and early work on whole-pupil learning intelligence.
If you are a teacher, school leader, SENDCO, pastoral lead, HR professional or learning and development specialist, we would love to hear from you.
